Privacy Policy

Effective September 4, 2026. Clipboard+ is designed to process clipboard history locally without sending it to Tonys-Coding or another remote service.

Information processed on your device

When you explicitly enable automatic website capture, Clipboard+ may process and save the text or URL you copy, the page title, the page URL, the source application label, the detected content category, and timestamps. Manually added clips, saved tabs, favorites, edits, snippet values, transformations, excluded sites, and settings are also processed locally.

Where information is stored

The Chrome extension stores its history and settings in chrome.storage.local on your device. The free Chrome Web Store release does not transmit clipboard contents, browsing information, or usage events to Tonys-Coding. It has no accounts, analytics, advertisements, or cloud synchronization.

Website access and consent

Automatic capture is off by default. Clipboard+ requests access to ordinary HTTP and HTTPS websites only after you select “Enable website capture.” You can pause capture, limit it to selected content categories, omit source details from future captures, turn capture off to remove access, exclude individual domains, or continue using manual clips and Save tab without broad website access.

Sensitive and restricted surfaces

Clipboard+ ignores password inputs and recognized authentication, one-time-code, and payment-card fields. Chrome internal pages, the Chrome Web Store, browser UI, and other restricted pages do not expose copy events to the extension. Incognito access is disabled.

Sharing, sale, and advertising

Tonys-Coding does not receive, sell, rent, share, or use clipboard contents or browsing information for advertising, credit decisions, or unrelated purposes. Clipboard+ does not contain third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

Retention and deletion

By default, clips remain locally until you delete them, clear history, clear all data, uninstall the extension, or Chrome removes its storage. History limits prune the oldest non-favorite clips. You may also automatically remove non-favorites after 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or 90 days; favorites never expire automatically. See Delete your Clipboard+ data.

Changes

If Clipboard+ later introduces accounts or encrypted synchronization, those features will require a new, prominent disclosure before any different processing begins. This policy will be updated before that release.
